A cola or "bud site" is the part of a female cannabis plant where the flowers or buds grow together tightly. In plant physiology, this is known as the terminal bud. Healthy plants usually form one main cola from the center of the branching structure with smaller colas forming around the outside of the plant. Training and trimming techniques (like LST, ScrOG, FIMing and topping) can be used to increase the amount of large colas that a plant will form.
